The annual Geneva Motor Show is typically anticipated as the stage of choice for many automobile manufacturers for the unveiling of future concepts and new product lines. While many were hoping to see a limited edition Aventador to celebrate Lamborghini's 50th Anniversary or even a sneak peek at the up and coming Gallardo replacement, that never happened. But this year's show didn't fail to excite with the most unexpected, very limited edition Lamborghini Veneno which does wear 50th Anniversary badging. To be produced in a very limited series of only 3 in one of each of Verde, Bianco and Rosso, not including the prototype whose future is uncertain, this particular model has a sticker price of $4.6 million and all three have been spoken for, even though not yet built.
Other manufacturers also lifted the wraps on their latest concepts and one in particular grabbed our attention because of its Lamborghini power plant pictured above, a little detail that went pretty much unnoticed by other Lamborghini related web sites. The car in question came from Lamborghini's sister company Italdesign Giugiaro, now also under Volkswagen/Audi Group ownership since 2010.
The new Parcour concept, presented in both open and closed configurations, are another take on the 4x4 passenger car, and while not mentioned at all in the press release bellow, we think this would make a great WRC rally car. either way we hope this eventually goes into production and that it retains the Lamborghini power plant. If it does, sign me up for one in silver.

Sad news hits the net on April 6th of a beautiful Miura SV being lost to an engine fire on the streets of London. The car has been identified as #5048, recently purchased by Jon Hunt at Gooding & Co's 2012 Pebble Beach auction and imported back to the UK in December.
