Opening today at Bologna’s airport is an exhibition of historic Lamborghini cars, as part of the House of the Raging Bull’s 50th Anniversary celebrations in 2013.
On display until May 31, 2013 at the Guglielmo Marconi International Airport of Bologna, which is a technical sponsor of Lamborghini’s 50th Anniversary celebrations, the display commemorates half a century of Automobili Lamborghini. The most prestigious part of Bologna Airport will be home to six Lamborghini super sports cars which have left their mark on the motoring world of the last 50 years.
The vehicles will be displayed in rotation: from the vintage models that laid the foundations for the Lamborghini legend, through to the latest supercars. Each car on show has an obvious link and reference to the aeronautical world: the 350 GT, whose cabin looks like an airplane canopy; the Miura with its retractable head lights and alloy wheels made of magnesium (commonly used in the aeronautical world); the Espada, a car which introduced NACA ducts to the world of motoring (the ducts are used to cool the engine without penalizing the aerodynamics); the Countach with its scissor doors; the Diablo with its aeronautics-inspired rear spoiler and the Murciélago with its mobile rear radiator intakes inspired by fighter jets.
 The collaboration with Bologna Marconi Airport also includes services to participants in Lamborghini’s 50th Anniversary Grand Tour in May. The participants arriving or departing from Bologna Airport will have preferential rates for “YouFirst”, a service promoted exclusively by the airport that assists the guests from the airport to the airplane and back again.
The YouFirst service will be listed on the customized card given to each participant in the Grande Giro Lamborghini 50° Anniversario. Bologna Airport will also offer facilitations services for any Lamborghini cars passing through it during the 50th Anniversary Grand Tour.
